Services we offer
C.A.S.T. partners with families every step of the way through the special education system. Initial diagnosis of a disability is only the beginning, and C.A.S.T. understands what steps need to be taken once placement has occurred. C.A.S.T. will help interpret your child's Full and Individual Evaluation (FIE) and the Individual Education Plan (IEP). These documents are provided to ensure your child is benefiting from the educational process. C.A.S.T. will work to educate families about the education process and support them as they build a collaborative relationship with the school.
Advocacy and Educational Consulting Services
C.A.S.T. provides a full range of advocacy and consulting services. Each family is provided the opportunity to determine which services they feel would provide them the greatest benefit from the consultation process. This collaboration between the family and C.A.S.T. is what provides for a tailored and customized consultation experience. Available services include the following:
C.A.S.T. will:
-conduct a complete Educational Record Review
-help determine if the Individual Education Plan (IEP) is appropriate
-help families ensure there is IEP Implementation and Follow-Through
-offer parent coaching and in home training
-attend ARD meetings and advocate for appropriate educational programming
-offer professional consultations at home or school
-refer families for diagnostic/treatment services if necessary
-provide family friendly references for legal representation, if necessary
-help you navigate the special eduation system
School Centered Services
The door between the school and home swings both ways and C.A.S.T. believes that many schools and their employees have the student's best interest at heart. However, sometimes a school needs some guidance and direction on how to best involve their families in the educational process. Sometimes, a school just needs to refine the processes and systems they already have in place. If your school would like assistance building the bridge between school and home, C.A.S.T. can help.
